Disaster protection training and methodology center opened in the northern region

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In partnership with the Governor’s Office of Orkhon aimag, and World Vision Mongolia, the center for the northern region - Emergency Management Agency of the aimag is successfully implementing the project, ‘Disaster resilient cities’, in aims of reducing the disaster risks of cities, improving disaster management and capacity.
In the framework of the project, a training and methodology center has been opened in Orkhon aimag to inform and train citizens for disaster preparedness.
Head of Disaster Preparedness Department of the National Emergency Management Agency D.Batsaikhan, Deputy Governor of the aimag S.Batjargal, and Director of Operations of World Vision Mongolia G.Enkhzul, and other corresponding officials attended the opening ceremony.
Officials reported that the training center has now created the opportunity to organize regular training for citizens, entities, and officers in the northern region.
