Inter-regional meeting taking place in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The International Think Tank for Land Locked Developing Countries (ITTLLDC) is organizing a joint inter-regional meeting ‘Technological capacity building for senior officials from Landlocked Developing Countries and landlocked Least Developed Countries’ in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Government of Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar on September 2-3, 2019.
The meeting is focusing on building technical and institutional expertise in the areas of innovation and technology for the benefit of LLDCs and landlocked LDCs. It also provides participants and experts with an opportunity to discuss and share experiences and ideas on the issue of resolving challenges in development, working out a strategy to effectively use scientific and technical information and utilizing innovation and transfer of technology for supporting economic structural transformation of LLDCs.
In his
speech at the opening, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
D.Davaasuren briefly introduced the measures being taken by Mongolian
government in the fields of innovation and technology and expressed gratitude
to ITTLLDC’s member states for their cooperation and continued support to the activities of ITTLLDC, first international organization in Mongolia.
Intellectual
property, innovation and technological experts from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan,
Nepal, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Tajikistan, Ethiopia, Nigeria
and Mongolia are attending the conference.
