Russian deputy visits Uvs aimag

A delegation led by Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Bator
Adukhiyev and First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Mongolia Mergen Dzhevakov
paid a working visit to Uvs aimag on August 5-7.
Giving
information on the development and investment strategies and characteristics of
Uvs aimag, the aimag’s Governor proposed collaborating in implementation of the
Uvs Sea buckthorn Program. In addition, the sides exchanged views on opportunities
for cooperation in agriculture including livestock sector and implementation of
projects on introduction of Kalmyk breed animals.
During his visit, the deputy got acquainted with farming activities in Baruunturruun soum of Uvs aimag and operation of the Khar Tolgoi irrigation system in Tarialan soum, and attended the Oirats 2019 festival at the Existence tourist camp in Turgen soum.
