PM U.Khurelsukh receives WHO delegation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On June 24, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh received delegates headed by WHO Regional Director for the Western Pacific, Dr. Takeshi Kasai.
Expressing his satisfaction with cooperation between Mongolia and the WHO, the PM noted the continued support of WHO Western Pacific Regional Office for Mongolian government policy on health sector, with its technical assistance.
The Government of Mongolia is working to strengthen the capacity of national health system. Moreover, it is taking all necessary measures to deliver medical assistance and services to all the citizens, especially, women, girls, teenagers, elders and target people within ‘Leaving no one behind’ objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Dr. Takeshi Kasai noted that
WHO has been closely collaborating with the Government of Mongolia and the
Ministry of Health. Furthermore, he stressed that he considers preventing and
combating infectious disease is not an effort of health workers only and it will
bring good results in case of involving all sectors.
