Mongolia joins World’s Largest Lesson initiative

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia joined the World’s Largest Lesson initiative by the UN  Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) launched in 2015. The initiative aimed at introducing 2030 Sustainable Development Goals to the children all over the world.

Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO, UNICEF in cooperation with ‘All for Education’ national civil society organizations' coalition posted the translations of over 370 pages of 33 lessons, comic book and video introductions on the Mongolian page of the World’s Largest Lesson website.

Currently, the lessons have been introduced to the students of national secondary schools participated in the Eco-Schools Programme.

The 17 sustainable development goals will be introduced and explained through everyday life examples, quizzes and tasks. The 30-75 minute sessions will be delivered in 4 to 6, 6 to 8, 8 to 11, 11 to 14 and +14 age categories respectively.
