Representatives of ADB East Asia acquainted with Health Sector Development Projects

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On April 5, head of the Public Administration Department of the Ministry of Health B.Tsogtbaatar received representatives led by Director General of the East Asia Department of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Amy Leung to introduce the implementation and achievements of the ADB projects, Fourth and Fifth Health Sector Development Project, at the National Blood Center.
The representatives became acquainted with the investment and renewal of equipment in the blood sector in the frameworks of the Fifth Health Sector Development Project and learned about improvements, such as the increase in blood products and storage by introducing 15 types of technology. Highly appraising the results of the two projects, Ms. Amy Leung and the ADB representatives highlighted the importance that was given to renewing instructions and regulations as well as the capacity development of personnel alongside improving the infrastructure and equipment of healthcare organizations.
Ms. Amy Leung noted that ADB will implement more projects in the health sector of Mongolia in the future.
