Car-Free Day to be organized on Saturday

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Biannual event ‘Car-Free Day’ will be organized on Saturday, September 22 under the theme ‘Let’s Walk and Bike instead of Drive’, announced the Governor’s Office of Capital.
In connection, the Ulaanbaatar Public Transport Department changed 40 routes
of 340 public transports. Also, some roads including Baga
Toiruu, Peace Avenue between Baruun and Zuun Durvun Zam (West and East Four-way
Intersections), Seoul Street, Beijing Street, Ankara Street and Sukhbaatar
Street, University Street, the Embassy Street, Partisan Street, Olympic Street
and Sambuu street will be closed from 7AM to 5PM for traffic movement.
Furthermore, various events are planned to be organized, such as public competitions, art and cultural events, fair trade of healthy and eco food products as well as sport halls of educational schools will be open to public.
