Winner of Seedstars Ulaanbaatar 2018 to compete for USD 1 million investment

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ With an aim to support startups from developing countries, Seedstars World Competition will be organized in Mongolia on August 16-18 for the second year.
In connection with the competition, Alina Rozanov, Associate for CEE & Central Asia – Seedstars, J.Zolzaya, Founder of Start-Up Marketing Space, B.Batbaatar, Head of the Industry Development and Innovation Department of Ulaanbaatar held a press briefing on August 6.
The national competition will be held on August 16-18 and the judging panel will conduct intensive trainings for the top 10 startups for two days. On the third day, the winner will be selected and qualified to represent the country in Switzerland and compete for the investment of USD 1 million.
With the aim to help start-up businessmen to network with investors, learn from best startup practices, have advices and receive financial support, ‘Seedstars World’ competition is organized in 75 countries around the world. Last year, Tataa tungaa Company was selected as the winner with their financial application. As for this year, the organizers are focusing on supporting women led start-up businesses. Thus, the organizers called on women to participate in Seedstars World Competition.

‘Seedstars Ulaanbaatar -2018’ competition will be sponsored by Unitel Group, the Mongolian first fintech Company ‘LendMN’, Itools, Start-Up Mongolia NGO, the Industry Development and Innovation Department of Ulaanbaatar, HUB Innovation Center, Unread.today and more.
The participants are able to register for the competition through https://seedsta.rs/ulaan18_apply until August 10.
Startups should meet the following criteria in order to compete in ‘Seedstar Ulaanbaatar-2018’:
- Startups should be less than 2 years old, have a Minimum Viable Product
- Profitable new business ideas should have objectives to be realized in three to four years, to be able to expand operation domestically and abroad.
- Apart from new ideas and technology, startups can be environment and green businesses.
