Mongolia Expresses Committed Support for OSCE Values, Principles

/MONTSAME/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Battsetseg Batmunkh, attended
the 32nd Ministerial Council 2025 of the Organization for Security and
Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), held in Vienna, Republic of Austria, from
December 4 to 5, 2025.
A total of 57 OSCE member states
and the Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of 11 countries attended
the Council, expressing their positions on ensuring regional security, establishing
peace, and supporting dialogue and negotiations.
In her remarks delivered at the plenary
session on December 5, 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs Battsetseg expressed committed
support for the OSCE’s values and principles, noting the importance of mutual
trust, dialogue, and shared responsibility in the implementation of the Helsinki
Final Act and the Paris Charter.
Mongolia actively cooperates with
the OSCE in areas, including democracy, strengthening human rights, digital security,
corruption, terrorism, and combating cross-border dangers.
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is the largest regional security institution that considers security over a vast territory spanning from Canada to the Russian Federation within three main dimensions: the politico-military dimension, economic and environmental dimension, and human dimension. Mongolia's joining the OSCE as a member in 2012 was significant in ensuring participation in regional security and implementing the third neighbor policy.
