Mongolia, Austria Pledge to Deepen Cooperation

Ulaanbaatar, December 8, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Battsetseg Batmunkh, paid an official visit to the Republic of Austria and held official talks with Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, on December 5, 2025.


During the official talks, the sides emphasized that the State Visit of the Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, to Mongolia in May 2025 played an important role in intensifying bilateral relations and deepening cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.



Agreeing to continue bilateral economic and investment cooperation, the two sides discussed opportunities to expand partnership in renewable energy, forestry, green technology, education, culture, and tourism, and expressed their commitment to working steadfastly to achieve these shared objectives. In this context, Minister Battsetseg extended an invitation to Minister for European and International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger to visit Mongolia at her convenience.


They also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation within the United Nations and other international organizations, and exchanged views on several regional and international issues.
