Mongolia, UNIDO Establish Country Programme Document

/MONTSAME/. During her working visit to Vienna, Member of the State Great Khural
(parliament) and Government of Mongolia, Minister of Foreign Affairs,
Battsetseg Batmunkh, met with Yuko Yasunaga, Deputy Director General of the
United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), to exchange views
on strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Minister Battsetseg commended Mongolia’s
past cooperation with UNIDO, noting the significant role played by UNIDO in
Mongolia’s stable and accessible industrial development. During the meeting,
the two sides signed the “2025-2027 Country Programme between the Government of
Mongolia and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.”
The two parties highlighted that
the Programme is fully aligned with Mongolia’s development policy documents,
the “White Gold” and “Food Supply and Security” national movements initiated by the
President of Mongolia, and will be an important impetus for developing the industrial
sector in a more strategic, integrated, and result-oriented way.
The two sides noted that expanded cooperation in supporting green industry is possible, reaffirming to advance cooperation within the framework of the Country Programme.
