Foundation Stone Laid for Intensified Dairy Complex

Ulaanbaatar, June 5, 2024 /MONTSAME/. A Groundbreaking Ceremony for an Intensified Dairy Complex for 1200 cattle took place in Selenge aimag, Mongolia on June 4, 2024. 

Thus, cooperation between the Republic of Belarus in the agricultural sector is officially launched with research work on the creation of a dairy cattle breed suitable to local characteristics.

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Mongolia states that establishing the farm in Selenge aimag, aims to improve the quality and yields of the cattle bred by farms and individuals in Selenge aimag, develop intensive farming, reduce milk imports, and boost exports.

During the State Visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko to Mongolia, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Kh.Bolorchuluun met with Minister of Agriculture and Food Bartosh Serhiy Ivanovich, Minister of Industry Rogozhnik Alexander Nikolayevich, and other officials and signed five memorandums of cooperation in the sector.

The parties exchanged views on intensifying cooperation in various fields including jointly establishing an open joint-stock company of Minsk Tractor Works to assemble tractors in Mongolia,  supplying the necessary equipment and machinery for forage production, implementing programs for the health of livestock, and training personnel in the agricultural sector, supplying new crop varieties.
