Meeting of Mongolia-EU subcommittee on trade and investment held

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. A meeting of the Mongolia-EU subcommittee
on trade and investment under the Mongolia-EU Joint Committee was held virtually
on November 23.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged information on the present economic situations and trade policy. They also discussed the intensification of bilateral cooperation in economy, trade and investment, particularly the implementation of GSP+, REX system and TRAM project.
Moreover, the discussion covered issues, such as the
priority areas of cooperation to implement the Partnership and Cooperation
Agreement between Mongolia and the European Union, animal and plant quarantine,
investment environment, and the expansion of bilateral cooperation in raw
materials’ fields.
The parties agreed minutes of the meeting. The result of the subcommittee meeting will be reported at the regular meeting of the Mongolia-EU Joint Committee to be held in December via videoconference.
