Meeting held with UNFPA Mongolia Head

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Chair of the Standing Committee on Social Policy and Member of the Parliament M.Oyunchimeg received Head of Office of UNFPA Mongolia Kaori Ishikawa yesterday, November 9.


At the beginning of the meeting, MP Oyunchimeg said, “The Parliament and the Government are working to reform the health sector of Mongolia. Works to make amendments to the major laws in the sector has been intensified and the budget of the sector has been increased, showing an evidence that Mongolia is focusing on the health sector reform”. Moreover, she stressed that the Standing Committee on Social Policy is working closely with the government to ensure citizens’ employment and income amid COVID-19 pandemic, while putting forth a request to cooperate in addressing social issues in the future.




Expressing her readiness to cooperate to empower women and youth and support the employment and education of people with disabilities, Ms. Kaori Ishikawa asked the MP to take part in a meeting and discussion to be held among international organizations against domestic, women and children violence between November 25-December 5.
