21.9 million offspring delivered nationwide

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. As of May 29, out of 29.2 million
dams counted on the national level, 77.1 percent or 21.9 million dams have
delivered offspring, reported the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light
Industry.
With the birth rate of domestic animals, Bayan-Ulgii and
Khovd aimags are leading with 97.3 and 93 percent respectively, while the rate in Umnugobi aimag stands at 44.4 percent.
Nationwide, 21.9 million offspring have been delivered, of which 98
percent or 21.1 million are healthy. In specific, 67.4 thousand baby camels, 514.6
thousand foals, 986.4 thousand calves, 10.8 million lambs and 8.6 million kids
are being looked after across the country.
