B.Javkhlan: Public service employees will not be downsized
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A
resolution on some measures to be taken under the 2022 state budget has been approved at today’s regular meeting of the Cabinet, said Minister of Finance
B.Javkhlan at a press briefing following the meeting.
The resolution has eight articles.
In particular, it includes measures to increase mining exports, improve the economic
benefits of state owned companies, and facilitate foreign trade to boost budget
revenue. As for budget expenditure-related measures, the resolution states to make changes in the funding of basic social services, have general services of
budget funded organizations provided under contract, and increase the
efficiency of investments, emphasized the Minister.
He added, “It is false that public service employees will be downsized. In the revised Law of Mongolia on Administrative, Territorial Units and their Governance, the use and maintenance of buildings and movable properties of educational, healthcare, social and cultural organizations fall under the responsibilities of the local governing body. There will not be any reduction in the budget nor any downsizing. The budget will not be affected as long as they work with their current status”
