NEMA to cooperate with KOICA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chief of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Brigadier General G.Ariunbuyan had a meeting with Country Director of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Mongolia Office Jo Haeng-Ian to discuss cooperation. 


During the meeting, the sides signed a memorandum, under which they will  work together to promote cooperation between the two countries in disaster management, organize training on disaster prevention and safety to upskill emergency staff, and dispatch volunteers. 


NEMA Chief G.Ariunbuyan underlined that thanks to a project implemented at NEMA’s Disaster Research Institute in 2014-2015 with MNT 500 million assistance from the government of the Republic of Korea, the institute was provided with advanced equipment, expressing gratitude for carrying out the project.
