Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Following decisions were made at the Cabinet meeting dated December 23.
- The Cabinet approved a plan of the working group in charge of holding talks to purchase COVID-19 vaccine. The plan thoroughly outlines the number of people who will be involved in vaccine, involvement stages and period, human resource of healthcare and other corresponding organizations to be mobilized, designated vehicles to transport vaccine in the country, safe storage of vaccine and making amendments to the relevant laws.
- The Cabinet backed a draft of Intergovernmental Agreement between Mongolia and Turkey on Cooperation in Youth Development and Sports Sector. Within the agreement, a program regarding youth employment and vocational training and production will be developed alongside connecting organizations in charge of youth issues and other organizations and encouraging and supporting young scholars, researchers and inventors. It also outlined to organize and sponsor sports competitions and tournaments, develop sports medicine, combat doping and share experiences.
- Status of “Biocombinat” state-owned enterprise has been changed
to state-owned limited liability company.
The change is expected to affect for operating efficiently, domestically producing vaccines
of highly contagious and infectious diseases, ensuring domestic need and improving its technological and economic efficiency and management.
- State plan on radiation protection was approved. It consists of 9 chapters, 20 sub-chapters and 49 articles. There are 1481 radiation generators in 471 entities and organizations nationwide.
- Regulation on registration and monitoring of nuclear material was adopted. All the corresponding organizations were assigned to work on use of radioactive minerals and nuclear energy, introducing nuclear technology, developing research, ensuring safety and putting control.
