Bogd Khaan Palace Museum: Bogd Khaan’s boots from childhood

With a tall white sole made by gluing thin white felt on top of each other, the boots have red velvet shaft and vamp. ‘Khaan buguivch’ and ‘khatan suikh’ patterns (commonly found on traditional designs of wedding rings) are sewn onto the vamp, while a dragon and a fish are sewn onto the shaft using gold colored thread. The boots were worn for religious ceremonies.
