50-bed children's hospital opens at the State Central Second Hospital

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A fully equipped 50-bed children's new hospital has been commissioned at the State Central Second Hospital (SCSH).
In aims of improving medical service quality for children and its access, the hospital planned to establish children's ward newly in 2019 and built it with non-refundable aid and support of the China Foundation for Peace and Development, Khangarid Development Center NGO and the Ministries of Health and Education and Science.
The hospital will provide hospital aid and services to children in Bayanzurkh district and three
aimags of eastern region.
Ambassador of China to Mongolia Chai Wenrui said “We are delighted at making our contribution to commissioning the 50-bed children's hospital at the. Aside from it, I am thankful that government and public organizations of Mongolia and China have been rendering mutual assistance and support to combat with the coronavirus pandemic.”
With commissioning of the hospital, it is possible to reduce workload of district hospitals, which render medical aid to over 150 thousand children living in eastern regional districts of the capital city, by 20 percent. Furthermore, complex aid and services including ambulatory check-up, emergency aid, intensive treatment and child health education will be provided, Director General of the SCSH S.Enkhbold said.
