Foreign Minister receives the UK Minister for Investment

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Foreign Affairs Minister D.Tsogtbaatar met with Graham Stuart, Minister for Investment at the Department for International Trade of the United Kingdom, on October 11. The sides exchanged views on current state of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, further expansion of the cooperation and some issues of international relations.


Minister D.Tsogtbaatar emphasized the importance of expanding friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the UK in all fields and introducing British investments, know how and advanced technologies to Mongolia. He also requested to keep the GSP+ duty exemption system after the UK exits the European Union.


Moreover, Foreign Minister made a proposal to organize a business forum in London next year to promote the partnership between the two countries.


Minister for Investment at the Department for International Trade Graham Stuart endorsed Foreign Minister’s proposals and re-affirmed that the UK Export Finance is available to finance GBP 200 million to the public and private organizations of Mongolia in the national currency.
