Youth and children discussing water issues

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ ‘Water-development’ children and youth first meeting was held on March 18 to provide information on water to the future generations of Mongolia and to make youths voice heard to the public. The meeting was co-organized by the Mongolian Water Partnership NGO, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Water Research Center and Firstdoctor Asia LLC.
 
Leading experts in water sector including head of the Land Management and Water Policy Coordination Department of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism Sh.Myagmar, head of President’s Office Z.Enkhbold, Dr. G.Davaa, Dr. D.Basandorj and consulting engineer Sh.Ganzorig gave information and held discussion among youths. 

The meeting highlighted two main themes including ‘Value of water’ and ‘Water resources and management’. A  recommendation addressed to the public and decision makers will be released from the meeting and will be introduced to the public at a press conference to be held on March 21.
 
The participants emphasized the importance of increasing value of water in Mongolia, proper use of water resources, increasing use of surface water, use of wastewater in large productions and improving public water education.
