Warmer weather expected by end of February

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Slight snowfall and blizzard are expected in some areas of central and eastern aimags on February 21-22, northern parts of western and central aimags on February 23 and western parts of western aimags and eastern parts of eastern aimags on February 24.
The wind will be getting stronger, reaching 14-16m/sec in areas of steppe and Gobi of the country on February 22.
The nighttime temperature will be -35-40 Celsius and the daytime temperature -20-25 Celsius in the depression of Uvs lake and Darkhad, in the basins of Ider and Tes rivers and in the head of Zavkhan river.
The nighttime temperature will be -26-31 Celsius and the daytime temperature -15-20 in the valleys of Khuren belcher, Kharaa, Yuruu, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, Ulz and Khalkh rivers.
In southern parts of Gobi region, the nighttime temperature will be around -15-20 Celsuis, whilst the daytime will be -2-7 Celsius.
By end of February, it will be warmer in most territory.
