Strong winds and wet snow in the forecast for most parts of the country

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Strong winds are expected in the country’s western region tomorrow on March 23, reaching 24 m/sec at times.

Wet snow and strong winds are expected in eastern parts of western aimags, northern parts of Gobi aimags, and in most parts of central and eastern aimags on March 24, in northern parts of western aimags, eastern parts of eastern aimags, and in some parts of central aimags on March 25, and in some parts of the eastern region on March 26.

Wind speed will be 16-18 m/sec, reaching 24 m/sec at times. 

With slight temperature drops in most parts of the country, in the depression of Uvs Lake and Darkhad, and in the basin of Zavkhan and Tes rivers, the temperature will range from -27 to -32 degrees Celsius during the night, and -10 to -15 during the day.

In the mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentei, near Khurenbelchir, and in the basins of Eg, Uur, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, Ulz, and Khalkh rivers, the temperature will range between -18 and -23 degrees Celsius during the night, and -5 to -10 during the day.

In the southern Gobi region, the night-time temperature will be -3 to -8 degrees Celsius, and the daytime temperature will be +4 to +9 degrees Celsius.

In other areas, temperatures are expected to be -10 to -15 during the night, and -3 to +2 during the day.
