Social insurance fund revenue increased

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first quarter of 2017, the General Authority for Health and Social Insurance of Mongolia reported that the revenue of Social Insurance Fund amounted to MNT 484.7 billion, reflecting an increase of MNT82.2 billion or 20.4 percent and expenditure of the fund reached 450.3 billion, showing an increase of MNT47.4 billion or 11.8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the first quarter of 2017, revenue of social Insurance fund has increased by MNT82.2 billion compared to the same period of the previous year. This was partially due to increased revenue of pension insurance fund by MNT 60.5 billion and health insurance fund by MNT7.6 billion. The Social insurance fund expenditure increased by MNT47.4 billion compared a year ago. Main reason goes to increase in pension insurance fund expenditure by MNT31.5 billion, health insurance fund by MNT9.6 billion and unemployment insurance fund by MNT3.0 billion.
 
The General Office of Labor and Welfare Service reported that in first quarter 2017, pensions and allowances worth of MNT33.6 billion granted to 170.3 thousand persons from the Social Welfare fund. It shows a decrease of pension receivers by 18.2 thousand or 9.7 percent, and amount of pensions and allowances byMNT3.1 billion or 8.5 percent compared to same period of the previous year. In the first quarter of 2017, 270 thousand people received social welfare services and mitigations, of which most persons or 80.1% received social welfare incentives, conditioned cash benefits. In reference period MNT38.1 billion were granted to 651.8 thousand children aged below 18 as Children’s cash allowances.
