Speaker and MPs receive Senator of Philippines
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Chairman of the State Great Khural (parliament) Z.Enkhbold received April 22 a member of the Senate of the Philippines Mr Aquilino Pimentel and accompanying him delegation.
Present were also a head of the Mongolia-Philippines friendship caucus in the Mongolian parliament D.Sumiyabazar MP and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Gankhuyag.
Mr Enkhbold expressed Mongolia’s interest in activating a cooperation with the Philippines in tourism, culture and education. He noted that the authorities should deepen the dialogues in order to expand the business ties and exchanges.
The high guest extended a gratitude to Mongolian side for the warm welcome and a successful organization of ASEP9, and gave Enkhbold a letter from the President of the Senate of the Philippines.
Mr Pimentel stated that a number of passengers between Mongolia and the Philippines are still small, regardless of the visa-free regime. "We should focus on this," he said.
