Making Airag in Khokhuur inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage
At the 14th Session of UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, that took place on December 11 in Bogota city of Colombia, Mongolian traditional technique of making Airag in Khokhuur and its associated customs has been inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Air rescue unit to be established with soft loan from France
At its regular meeting on December 11, the Cabinet approved the draft law on ratification of a financial agreement established between the Governments of Mongolia and France and decided to submit it to the Parliament.

‘Kremlin New Year’ celebration event arrives in Ulaanbaatar after 30 years
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Russian New Year celebration event, or so-called ‘Kremlin New Year’ in Ulaanbaatar is to be resumed after 30-year halt, as reported by the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar. More than 150 artists from Mongolia will perform at the celebration event to be organized at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar.

One shaft of Asgat silver deposit opened up
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A special license of exploitation of the Asgat silver deposit has been transferred to Erdenes Mongol LLC state owned company upon the government resolution of 16 January 2019. Now the company has been working to put the deposit into economic circulation, launching the collection of sampling and technical renovation works  in cooperation with the Mongolian emergency management officers.
