‘Arga Bileg’ band released first colored vinyl album

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ ‘Arga Bileg’ ethno jazz band, which presents a combination of classic jazz and traditional musical instruments, was founded in 2009 by a group of 11 professional musicians and dancers. The band has released albums ‘Deelt’, ‘Dev’ and ‘Agula’ so far and toured over 20 countries over the past period.


On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the band, the band artists released their ‘Agula’ album in vinyl, which was nominated to Grammy Awards in 2015. The name 'Agula' is derived from the old Mongolian word for mountains. The album is special as released together with artists of Swiss band ‘Heinrich Kaenzig’.


Member of the band, pianist T.Purevsukh said that vinyl is a precious thing with rich sound and great value. ‘Agula’ vinyl  album will be issued in a very few pieces. “This is the very first colored and ethno jazz vinyl of Mongolia.”
