Education Minister meets Mongolians in Bay AreaSociety
Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo. Baatarbileg met with
heads of Bay Area Mongolian Community Association (BAMCA) and representatives
of Mongolians in San Francisco Bay Area, the U.S.
At the meeting, they exchanged views on how to cooperate with state central administrative organization in directions of expanding activities of the BAMCA, training for Mongolian children and multilateral cultural and arts cooperation.
Praising the educational activity for Mongolian children being implemented by the BAMCA, the Minister handed over Mongolian language textbooks of 1st to 4th grades of the general educational schools of Mongolia, expressing commitment to provide with textbooks further.
BAMCA has been successfully participating in the event ‘Mongol Naadam Festival’ which is annually organized by the Commission responsible for organizing National Naadam Festival and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the 2019 event, the BAMCA took the second place; therefore, the Minister presented the certificate.
Moreover, Morin Khuur instructor B.Nyamdorj was awarded with a Honorary Certificate of the Ministry in recognition of his contribution to give the knowledge of national heritage and culture to Mongolian children in the U.S.
