Ulaanbaatar marks 378th anniversary of founding
The day of October 29 marked the 378th anniversary of founding of Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. On this occasion, S.Batbold, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar and S.Amarsaikhan, Chairman of Citizen’s Representative Khural of the capital city conveyed their greetings to the residents. The capital city authorities also visited the Turtle Monument in downtown Ulaanbaatar, erected in 1994 in memory of the founding of the city.

PM addresses at National Forum on Air Pollution
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the National Forum on Air Pollution, held on October 23 at State House, Prime Minister U. Khurelsukh delivered a speech. He said, “In 2008-2016, the country spent over MNT147 billion for projects and programs to reduce air pollution in Ulaanbaatar city. With the loans of international organizations worth USD60 million, it has implemented many projects on improving stoves, low-pressure stoves and fuels, and increasing consumption of gas fuel and eco-bus and conducting experiments to connect households into gas. They showed certain results, but did not reach expected outcome."
