Mining Minister works at Erdenet Mining Corporation
On December 14, Mining and Heavy Industry Minister D.Sumiyabazar worked at Erdenet Mining Corporation (EMC). According to the last year’s statistics, the EMC produced 28 percent of Mongolia’s industrial output and 11 percent of export products. So far, EMC has excavated approximately 800 million tons of ore in total.

IMF Executive Board approves USD79.1 million disbursement
On December 15, 2017, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) completed the first and second reviews of Mongolia’s performance under the program supported by a three-year extended arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF). Completion of the review enables Mongolia to draw the equivalent of SDR 55.912 million (about USD 79.1 million), bringing total disbursements under the arrangement to SDR 83.868 million (about USD 118.6 million), reported the IMF.

Mongolian judokas captured two gold and two bronze medals on the first day of the Masters Saint Petersburg. The top-16 judoka in each weight category in the world are invited to the season-ending World Judo Masters.
