Road and Transport Minister attends ‘Transport Week-2017’

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/Minister of Road and Transport Development J.Bat-Erdene is attending the international forum and exhibition ‘Transport Week-2017’ that runs on December 2-8 in Moscow, Russian Federation.
An official opening of the event, which brought together delegates of over 40 countries, was held on December 5 in Gostiny Dvor Complex. During the event, Minister J. Bat-Erdene held an official talk with Russian Railways OJSC’s CEO Oleg Belozerov.
At the meeting, the sides shared views on increasing railroad capacity of Ulaanbaatar Railways Joint Venture, implementing technical modernization, modernizing rolling-stock and studying possibilities to implement railway projects within the Mongolia-Russia-China Economic Corridor and agreed to intensify bilateral cooperation.
Moreover, J.Bat-Erdene met A. Zhunusov, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). They discussed about expanding bilateral cooperation in transportation within the MoU signed in 2015 by the Government of Mongolia and the EEC and intensifying implementation of a ‘Plan of Actions to be co-implemented in road, transport and customs sector in 2017-2018’ signed on October 4, 2017 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
