Parliament overrides partial veto on 2018 budget

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Parliament discussed and voted down the President’s partial veto on the expenditure section of the 2018 State Budget on December 7.
Z.Enkhbold, Head of Staff of the President’s Office presented the veto, which is based on claims of prodigal budget expenditure, expressing the President’s concern over a number of issues that require reconsideration in the 2018 State Budget.
Parliamentary Standing Committees on Legal Affairs and Budget rejected the veto during their meetings this week.
The Parliament voted the veto down by 82.4 percent. 51 Members of Parliament were present at the discussion.
