Updates made to temporary regulations on business operations during COVID-19 pandemic
At the regular Cabinet meeting today on January 5, the temporary regulations on operations of businesses were updated. Currently, 66.5 percent of the country’s total population have been involved in both doses, while 28.5 percent have been administered with an additional dose.

Coal and iron concentrate export decreases due to border closure
According to the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, 21,302.9 thousand tons of coal was mined last year. Last year, 15,941.7 thousand tons were exported, which showed a 44.3 percent decrease compared to the same period of the previous year.

COVID-19: 585 new cases, three deaths reported
The Ministry of Health reported that 585 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the past 24 hours. Specifically, 385 cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar city, with 196 cases in rural aimags and four imported cases.

Mongolia’s stock market to further expand in 2022
The Mongolian Stock Exchange (MSE) was recently highlighted as the top performing stock market of 2021 by Bloomberg. As of December 5, the MSE Top 20 index grew by 104 percent as of December 5, which served as the core factor for Mongolia’s stock exchange to be considered as one of the leading markets.

Sankou Tech Mongolia manufactures mechanical parts for export to Japan
MONTSAME National News Agency is cooperating with the Embassy of Japan in Mongolia to introduce young business owners that are currently successful in the two countries’ business sector. This time, we invited Founder and Director of Sankou Tech Mongolia LLC Tsendeekhuu Chimedtseren. The company currently manufactures mechanical parts for vehicles in Mongolia, and exports them to Japan.
