Embassy of Mongolia Hosts Sumo Wrestlers Ahead of London Basho 2025

Ulaanbaatar, October 17, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Japan Professional Sumo Association is hosting a regional basho in London, United Kingdom, to commemorate its Centennial.
Six elite Mongolian sumo wrestlers, who currently hold high-ranking positions in professional sumo, are participating in the tournament to be held at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, featuring 40 top-tier wrestlers around the world.
Upon their arrival in London on October
12, 2025, the wrestlers were warmly welcomed by the Mongolian Embassy
delegation. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Enkhsukh Battumur, met
with athletes, offering words of encouragement and extending his best wishes
for their success in the tournament.
