Mongolian Wrestlers Win Eight Medals at World Championships

Ulaanbaatar, October 13, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Mongolian wrestlers won eight medals in classic wrestling at the 2025 Veteran World Championships held in Tatabanya, Hungary.

 

Athletes from over 60 countries competed in the tournament. Mongolian athletes won three silver and five bronze medals.

 

Silver medalists:

Amarbat Togtokhbayar in the 62 kg class in the 36-40 age category,

Sainbayar Sugar in the 62 kg class in the 41-45 age category,
International Master of Sports Ganzorig Chagnaadorj in the 100 kg class in the 41-45 age category.

 

Bronze medalists:

Tsevelsodnom Davaakhuu in the 130kg class in the 41-45 age category,

Uriankhai Lkhagvasuren in the 70 kg class in the 46-50 age category,

Altankhuyag Altangerel in the 130 kg class in the 46-50 age category,

Batnasan Tumurbat in the 62 kg in the 51-55 age category,

Ankhbayar Tsendee in the 100kg in the 56-60 age category.

 

Ganzorig and Altankhuyag hold the national wrestling title of Nachin, while Tsevelsodnom holds the aimag’s title of Khurts Arslan.
