COVID-19: 488 new cases, two deaths reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Health
reported that 138 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the past 24
hours. Specifically, 360 cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar city,
with 100 cases in rural aimags and 28 imported cases.
It was also reported that one COVID-19 related
death has been reported, raising the country’s death toll to 1,989. Currently,
2,179 people are receiving hospital treatment for COVID-19 whilst 3,457 people
with mild symptoms of COVID-19 are being isolated at home.
As of today, January 4, the coverage of 1st dose is 69.7 percent (2,266,225) and 2nd dose – 66.5 percent (2,164,363) of the total population. Moreover, 919,478 people (28.3 percent) have received 3rd dose or a booster shot of COVID-19 vaccines nationwide.
