1,295 coronavirus cases recorded, total rises to 145,787

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Daily COVID-19 press briefing for today, July 17, Saturday, reported that 1,295 new coronavirus cases were detected nationwide in the past 24 hours. 


In specific, 646 new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city, 644 cases were detected in rural aimags and another 3 cases were imported from abroad. 


As a result, the nationwide infection tally has now reached 145,787, with 106,762 cases of them are recorded in Ulaanbaatar city. 


In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,929 patients were recovered, making the total number of COVID-19 recoveries 125,822. As of July 17, a total of 13,796 coronavirus patients are being treated at hospitals and clinics and in Ulaanbaatar city and rural aimags. 


National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD), the primary healthcare organization in the country responding to the pandemic, reported 10 new COVID-19 related deaths, raising the country's death toll to 726.
