New kindergarten to be built with grant from United Arab Emirates

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The groundbreaking ceremony for a new building of kindergarten No. 25 in the Sukhbaatar district of the capital city, which will be built with a grant from the Government of the United Arab Emirates, took place today, on April 15, 2020. The 60-year-old kindergarten is one of the oldest in Ulaanbaatar and the kindergarten needs new building as its lifespan has ended while the number of children enrolled in the kindergarten has increased. The new kindergarten will open on September 1, 2020 and will have a capacity of 240 children.
The ceremony was attended by State Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Mongolia Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Tunaiji and other officials. On behalf of the Government of Mongolia, State Secretary D.Davaasuren thanked the Government of the United Arab Emirates for its generous support in creating a comfortable and healthy learning environment for Mongolian children.
With a grant from the Government of UAE, two more kindergartens with a capacity of 100 children each are being built in Kherlen soum of Khentii aimag and Sainshand soum of Dornogovi aimag.
Over the past four years, the UAE government gave assistance of USD 1.3 million for combating environmental pollution, protection of birds of prey, providing modern medical equipment to health centers of some districts, computers and water purifiers to schools, and equipping the Children's Reading Hall at the Natsagdorj Library in Ulaanbaatar.
