‘Vision-2050’ policy document presented to central bank

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Head of the Cabinet Secretariat of
Government L.Oyun-Erdene today handed over ‘Vision-2050’, Mongolia’s long-term
policy document, to the Governor of the Bank of Mongolia B.Lkhagvasuren.
“To realize the long-term development policy, the government needs to have a close collaboration with the Central Bank, other professional organizations, and political parties. Moreover, the monetary policy of the central bank and investment policies of the government have to be interrelated and implemented under one general guidance; thus, the policy document is now being presented to the Bank of Mongolia,” emphasized Mr. Oyun-Erdene.
After receiving the policy document, Mr. Lkhagvasuren briefed
about the central bank’s policy on banking sector reform, outcomes of monetary
and macro policies, present economic situations, and further outlook. He also
shared views on what measures the central bank needs to be taken as well as how
to cooperate with the government and parliament during this period of the heightened
state of readiness concerning the risk of coronavirus spread.
