NSO Chairperson meets IOM representatives

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On February 10, Chairperson of the National Statistical Office A.Ariunzaya held a meeting with project representatives led by International Organization for Migration (IOM) Programme Manager Victor Lutenco.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and corresponding sides, IOM has recently launched a new project on internal migration with financing from the Swiss Agency for Cooperation and Development.
They discussed including the statistics relating to internal migrants in statistical studies and census and developing partnership in the matter. The aims of the project are to develop a policy based on internal migration and evidence and improve the socio-economic situation of citizens by implementing effective measures.
