International Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In the frameworks of the Mongolian Innovation Week, the International Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (ICIED-2019) took place at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) for the 5th consecutive year on May 9. The conference was attended by about 100 participants, which included scholars and researchers from Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Kuwait, Russia, Mongolia and the U.S., representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports (MECSS), professors of universities, such as MUST and the National University of Mongolia, technology experts, and representatives of businesses and NGOs.
Director of Science and Technology Policy Department at MECSS S.Munkhbat, MUST Director B.Ochirbat and Deputy Director of the School of Economics at the Inner Mongolia University of Technology Sh.Hao gave opening remarks at the conference.
Presentations were done by several invited speakers, which included professors of Tokyo Institute of Technology, Inner Mongolia University of Technology, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and MUST, as well as researchers, scholars and doctoral students on various topics, such as policy on the industrial sector and its implementation, national development plan based on innovation economics, and research on the ecosystem of startup businesses in Mongolia.
