'Turkish-Mongolian studies' scientific conference takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Dedicated to the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Turkey and 5th anniversary of Mongolian Language and Cultural Department at Hacettepe University, the second scientific conference ‘Turkish-Mongolian studies’ took place on May 8.
More than 100 scientists including Mongolian delegates led by Rector of the National University of Mongolia, Ph.D Ya.Tumurbaatar and Turkish Mongolists and instructors and postgraduates of Hacettepe University attended the conference, touching historical and cultural relations of the two counties, historical traces and sources and issues on Mongolian studies.
At the conference, the scholars delivered over 20 interesting presentations such as ‘Trace of Mongolia in Turkistan’, ‘Theoretical issues related to social structure of Mongolians in the 12th century’ and ‘About ongoing research on Mongolian language and culture in China’.
