Ambassador of India visits Uvurkhangai

Uvurkhangai /MONTSAME/ Ambassador of India to Mongolia, Mohinder Pratap Singh is visiting Uvurkhangai aimag. Officials led by the aimag’s Governor G.Ganbold held a meeting with the Ambassador, talking over bilateral cooperation.


The aimag authorities expressed their readiness to establish cooperation with Indian cities and towns and exchange experience in the fields of information technology, healthcare, and agriculture. In particular, specific proposals were put forward at the meeting such as having five students study in IT and other fields in India annually with scholarships from the Indian Government, providing specialists with short-term courses, giving necessary medical equipment through grant aid, as well as studying experience and introducing new technologies in dairy processing.


For his part, Ambassador M.P.Singh said “Uvurkhangai aimag is the motherland of history and culture. I am starting my local visit from the aimag as it has partnered with India in religious and cultural fields several times”


Indian health professionals every year come to Ulaanbaatar to do tests and checkups for cancer, eyes, and liver. Last year, 75 people got their liver treated in India. Liver disease treatment costs in India are 40 percent cheaper than in South Korea, added the Ambassador, pledging to introduce the treatment in the aimag.
