Police officers enhancing their skills in fighting drug
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ To enhance knowledge and skills of officers at prosecutor’s and police offices in charge of fighting drug crime, trainers of the Office of National Drug Control Policy of the United States (ONDCP) is conducting training in Mongolia on April 8-12.
Ambassador of the United States to Mongolia Michael Klecheski and First Deputy Commissioner of the National Police Agency (NPA), Police Colonel R.Otgonjargal attended the opening of the training and delivered opening speeches.
"As the number of drug-related crime and scope of the users have been increasing in Mongolia in recent years, Anti-Drug Control Department moved to direct management of general commissioner of the NPA and definite works such as broadening and strengthening activities, providing with modern equipment and devices and empowering officers, have being fulfilled at stages. The training is being held for the first time in Mongolia within cooperation between the National Police Agency of Mongolia and the Office of National Drug Control Policy of the United States. I consider that this is a start of collaboration in improving knowledge and skills of officers in charge of fighting drug,” Police Colonel R.Otgonjargal said.

authorities of the NPA had a meeting with Ambassador Michael Klecheski and
officers at the ONDCP, exchanging views on this matter.
