Korean teachers to share experiences

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In the framework of the Korea-Mongolia Teacher Exchange Programme-2019, two representatives of the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) and nine teachers have arrived in Mongolia from South Korea.

A total of 160 Mongolian teachers and 139 Korean teachers have been involved in the programme, which is being implemented for the 7th year since 2012. The APCEIU representatives highlighted that the programme has a significant role in strengthening the friendly relations between the people of the two countries.

The teachers will be working at five schools located in both the capital city as well as other parts of the country within the the first teacher exchange programme for 2019 from March 4 to March 27. As for their counterpart, 12 teachers will be going to South Korea from Mongolia on April 5.

The Institute of Teacher’s Professional Development has been implementing the programme in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports and APCEIU since 2013. Aside from Mongolia, teachers from South Korea are also involved in exchange programmes to countries, such as the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Cambodia.
