U.Khurelsukh: Government, producers and customers have to collaborate

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A consultative meeting for determining opportunities and solutions to develop national industrial sector was held today at the State House. The meeting was taken part by manufacturers of woolen, cashmere, leather, sewn and wooden products and food and building materials and delegation of Association of Support Wealth Producers.
The delegates noted that the reviving
economy is giving support to run activities and expressed their willing to
cooperate with the Government in manufacturing and exporting value added
products in the future. It is crucial to back producers with tax policy, in
particular, to give discount or exempt goods and equipment being imported on
industrial purpose from value added and income and customs duties.
Moreover, they put proposals that government organizations should buy products made at home country in priority, 2019 to be announced as a year of patriotic purchasing and domestic market should be protected.
PM U.Khurelsukh attended the meeting and supported an initiation to set up Industrial Council under the Prime Minister of Mongolia and include representatives of professional unions, corresponding Ministers and heads of agencies in its composition. The PM expressed his position that the Government, producers and costumers have to collaborate. “The Government should encourage its wealth creators in all possible ways and the people should support national producers by buying their products. Let’s cooperate for making it possible that our citizens are employed, having income and live in safe environment’ the PM called on.
