Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on August 29, the Cabinet discussed the following issues.

-The Cabinet heard introduction on preparation of new academic year. The introduction includes the following:
More than 260 thousand children are expected to be involved in preschool education in the academic year of 2018-2019, which shows an increase of 3300 children as compared with the previous year. Throughout the country, a total of 1444 kindergartens (890 state owned and 554 private) ensured their preparations to run operations nationwide, involving 83 percent of all children aged 2-5.
In 2018, nine kindergartens for 1710 children and three school buildings with 1600 seats will be newly opened. Over 30 thousand students will enroll higher educational organizations; hence over 150 thousand students in total are expected to attend universities and colleges.  
As for secondary schools, 597.2 thousand students will study at 814 state and private schools nationwide, of which 76.4 thousand children are first graders and the number is higher by eight thousand, against the previous year.

- The Cabinet resolved to take 12,000 hectares of land in Sergelen soum of Tuv aimag into the state special need for implementing Maidar City Project.

- The Cabinet backed a Bill on amending the Constitution of Mongolia, initiated and formulated by those including MP D.Lundeejantsan, and decided to reflect recommendations and suggestions made at the meeting.

- The Cabinet discussed a report on solutions of petitions and complaints applied to Citizens Receiving Center of the Government, addressing to Ministries, agencies, governor’s offices of aimags and capital city as well as local state administrative organizations and officials in the first half of 2018. The Center has received a total 8593 complaints and requests, of which 7897 were resolved punctually.

-A Bill on ratifying agreement on Social Protection of Citizens between Mongolia and the Republic of Turkey was decided to be submitted to the Parliament. As of 2013, a number of registered Mongolian citizens in Turkey were counted at 2471, but the number raised to 4000 in 2016.
