Deputy Defense Minister attends IISS Shangri-La Dialogue

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Mongolian delegates led by Deputy Defense Minister T.Dulamdorj participated in the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue, premier defense summit, held in Singapore on June 1-3.
During the event, Deputy Minister T.Dulamdorj held bilateral meetings with delegates of other countries and exchanged views on defense sector’s relations and cooperation between the countries.
It is a unique meeting of ministers and delegates from over 50 countries, organized first in 2002 at the initiation of London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS).
The IISS Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore is the most important regular gathering of defense professionals in the Asia-Pacific region, a vital annual fixture in the diaries of ministers and their civilian and military chiefs of staff. Since its launch in 2002 the Dialogue has built confidence and fostered practical security cooperation, by facilitating easy communication and fruitful contact among the region’s most important defense and security policymakers.
