“Japanese side to consider proposal on railway construction”
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting discussed Monday results of a working visit of Z.Enkhbold, the Speaker to Japan on June 1-3, 2016, and then tasked L.Purevsuren, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to present them to the National Security Council (NSC).
At a meeting with Shinzo Abe, the Japanese Prime Minister, Speaker Enkhbold requested to study a proposal by the Mongolian Premier on financing the construction of railways in eastern region of Mongolia with a soft-loan from the development assistance of the Japanese government.
Shinzo Abe, the Prime Minister of Japan has responded that both the proposal of Mongolia and feasibility studies of the railway construction which was worked out by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) will be deliberately studied.
